Short answer: to rent a boat in Montreal with BoatsFun, choose a boat in the catalogue, select a date and a time slot, then pay the deposit by credit/debit card or Interac e-Transfer. Your booking is confirmed after the payment has been verified. Departures are from the Marina de Pointe-aux-Trembles (Montreal) and the Marina de Boucherville (South Shore), with a Repentigny option depending on the boat.

Where boats depart from in Montreal

BoatsFun outings depart from two main areas, on either side of the St. Lawrence River:

  • Marina de Pointe-aux-Trembles (Montreal) — departure point for the pontoons and the Regal 42 cruiser. Sailing towards Boucherville and the Varennes islands.
  • Marina de Boucherville (South Shore) — departure point for the Azimut yachts. Sailing on the South Shore and the river.
  • Marina de Repentigny (option) — some boats, like the Princecraft Vectra 23, also offer departure from Repentigny.

The exact location is shown on each boat's page, and the precise marina location is confirmed after booking.

How booking works

  1. Choose your boat, a date and a time of day in the catalogue.
  2. Book by filling in your information, then pay the deposit by credit/debit card or Interac e-Transfer. Your slot is held for 15 minutes while you pay.
  3. Verification: the BoatsFun team verifies the payment and the availability.
  4. Confirmed: you receive the confirmation and the departure instructions.

Yachts are booked for 4 to 8 hours, as weekend packages or flexible weekday departures. Pontoons offer flexible scheduling: 4 to 8 hours, departures every 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m., with the latest return at 10 p.m. The rate depends on the chosen day: the weekday rate applies Monday to Thursday and the weekend rate Friday to Sunday. The important rules to know

  • Identity: the deposit — by card or Interac e-Transfer — must be paid by the booking holder. This person must be present at departure and present an official photo ID bearing the same name. Payments from a third party are not accepted.
  • Changes and cancellation: any request must be submitted at least 48 hours before the start of the rental. The deposit may be refunded under the applicable conditions; administrative fees may be withheld.
  • Captain: rentals are offered without a captain included. A captain may be available upon request depending on the boat and availability.
  • Capacity: the maximum capacity shown on each boat page must be respected at all times.
  • Confirmation: no booking is confirmed instantly — confirmation always follows the manual verification of the payment.

The full details are in the policies and terms.
